Who We Are
Garry Kornegay founded Kornegay Engineering, Inc. (KEi) in 1993 with the goal of providing quality structural engineering services to architects, contractors, and fabricators. Since our founding over 25 years ago, we have continued to add new team members, grow our portfolio, and develop an extensive range of knowledge allowing us to provide a broad range of structural engineering services.
Our greatest strength is our close-knit and experienced staff. Each of our engineers, draftsman, and technicians have unique backgrounds and experiences in the industry, allowing us to better serve our clients. We take pride in maintaining a positive and enthusiastic work environment which allows us to clearly communicate with each other and efficiently complete projects.

We continue to implement the latest technology, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, to develop efficient designs. This gives us the ability to explore construction options and coordinate with other disciples to avoid interferences during construction. Our team has been proficient in BIM for over 10 years which allows us to develop 3D models for owners, architects, and contractors.
