With over 40 years of experience consulting for structural engineering projects, Garry brings a unique set of skills to the company. He founded the company in 1993 after obtaining a benchmark of experience that developed key skills for consulting in structural engineering. Garry graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Throughout his career, he has extensive experience in the design and detailing of multi-story office buildings, educational facilities, hotels, churches, and other various structure types. Structural assessment and existing building rehabilitations are also common project experiences in his exhaustive portfolio.

Adam joined Kornegay Engineering after completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2004. Over the years, he completed his Master of Science degree from Georgia Tech and expanded the company’s diverse portfolio and services.

Specific areas of his expertise include steel connection design, light gauge framing design, seismic analysis and design of existing structures, and analytical studies among others. Adam has also completed multiple projects utilizing several building materials to include structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry. He is actively leading the firm in implementing new technology and design methods to continue providing our clients with economical design solutions.

Throughout his career, Doug has obtained experience in design and planning for new construction and existing structure retrofits for projects in government, industrial, and the private sector. His project experience includes the use of multiple computer frame modeling software and other design aids for structural optimization.

Doug joined Kornegay Engineering in 2017 to support the growth of the company. In addition to his project experience in new buildings and bridges, Doug has also completed numerous structural assessments of existing buildings and bridges for private, industrial, and government clients. Doug holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree specializing in Structural Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Karim joined Kornegay Engineering in 2019. She brings a diverse background that includes academic instructing at the collegiate level and working in the construction and engineering industry in multiple countries. During her academic career, her courses of instruction include structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and computer aided engineering software. Karim’s experience in structural design includes multiple building materials for the private and public sector and included the design of reinforced concrete structures for high seismic demand. She has completed her Master of Science degree specializing in structural engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Engineering – Peru. Additionally, Karim has successfully completed her Fundamentals of Engineering examination.

Michael attended Middle Georgia Technical College and developed incredible AutoCad proficiency prior to joining Kornegay Engineering, Inc. in 2006. Bringing his determined work ethic, he has led the way in our development of BIM implementation. Michael has grown our Revit standards and provided key direction in our ability to provide owners and clients with efficient designs and completing projects in a cost-effective manner.

She is efficient in QuickBooks, Bill Quick, and has a thorough understanding of tax and corporate accounting requirements.
