This 32 office, two story, building provides the bank with a unique building and over 13’ floor to floor heights. The clients are served through a drive through area that extends under the second floor of the building. Kornegay Engineering, Inc. worked with the architect to design the building with structural steel framing and steel bar joists supporting concrete deck for the second floor. Additionally, the roof framing is comprised of wood roof trusses supported by structural steel framing. The steel framing is supported with shallow concrete spread footings while the exterior walls are supported with concrete strip footings. For the lateral system, we developed diagonally braced frames to work with the proposed use and access areas required for everyday banking services. The exterior envelop consists of light gauge steel studs with a brick veneer enclosure.
