Originally constructed as a Mansour’s department store, this facility was converted to serve OrthoGeorgia’s patients. After completing a structural assessment of the existing facility, the foundation was modified to support a new second story. This challenging renovation utilized deep helical foundations, modified grade beams, and spread footings to support the new structural steel framed building. Additionally, the lateral and roof systems were modified for the new design criteria.
