This four span bridge provides the City of Thomaston with over 200 feet of extension to reach greater pump capacity for their water facility. The pump intake platform is supported with composite columns constructed with steel H piles encased with reinforced concrete that extend 56 feet below the pump platform. The H piles were driven below a matt foundation to provide support of the 20x30 feet concrete pump platform. Each bridge span is constructed with pre-stressed girders that are supported on cast in place concrete bridge bents. The end bent is a cast in place concrete retaining structure.
