This facility provided Ft. McAllister the capabilities of launching up to a 16 ton boat utilizing dual electric trolley hoists and a two point hoist system. KEi designed the facility utilizing structural steel built-up sections to provide economical support for the hoist system. Additionally, lateral stability was provided utilizing moment connections and wind columns. The foundations include concrete pile caps on wood pile foundations.
